We are doing research for a recycling center. When we looked online we found the most common things that are recycled. Those things are: Grocery sacks, produce bags, and other packaging, water bottles, Pop Cans, Waxed cartons (Milk, juice) Phone books, White Office Paper and Corrugated Cardboard. We have contacted the principal at ERMS and he has agreed to let us set up recycling bins at the middle school to get more people aware of recycling. They will have a competition to see which tag recycles the most. The recycling center in Eaton Rapids only accepts the following things: Newspapers, Plastic, water bottles, Milk Jugs, Detergent containers, tin cans, aluminum, and clear glass jars. The plastics can only be number 1 or number 2. The number 1 is PETE (Polyethylene Terephthalate) and the Number 2 is HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) And it is molded into the plastic item. We discovered that the recycling center picks up all the extra brush after big storms and they will pick up your Christmas tree only if you are a city resident. We may not actually be able to create a recycle center but we will make people aware of the fact that we have one right here in ER.

Myth Busters proved that lightning most likely will kill you. But they put gun powder on the phone which makes no sense because wouldn't gun powder make it blow up? The gunshot from far away didn't make the girl pregnant. but i knew the whole time.

lab reports

Title: Testing total solids
Purpose: To see if the water is healthy
Pre-lab Research/Background: What is total solids?
How does total solids in the river relate to the recycling center?
Hypothesis:if you use a recycle center then there would be less waste in the river, therefore the river with be healthier.

The kids at this elementary school tried to cut back on food wastes after lunch. So they convinced the principal to let recess be beofre lunch because most of the kids wasted food because they wanted to be out to recess early.. the school did the before lunch recess and hopefully it cuts back on food waste. i also read the article about the water testing.. it seemed like the kids were trying to test the waters to get cleaner water.. hopefully it turned out.

My Green wish

So.. Ive been trying to convince my mom to buy these new curtains.. they keep the heat and cool inside.. so my green wish was to get those curtains!
